I am glad you visited this very important
page. The legal product today is sold to the client today
with a lot of packaging, flair, and abundance of "professionalism" that
sometimes unfortunately misses the most important thing: The
strategic legal benefit to the client. In the end, that is what
matters, and what I focus on. Being careful, strategic, and creative
is not about fitting into a model, it is about doing what is
best for the client.
The attorney-client relationship is a very special relationship
of trust. For me, the integrity necessary to earn that trust is not just
a business decision, but my nature. Strategy, imagination, and
a desire to succeed often make the difference between success
and failure. I believe it is what separates me from other lawyers.

My job as a California Business
Attorney
is to do my best to protect the interests of my clients, and do my best to
win the case for each and every client. As a California business
attorney, there are a few points I feel are most
important:
1. Serving the client - The most
fundamental principle of being a good business attorney whom
clients learn to trust, whether you are an individual or a
large organization, is to put the client's interests ahead of
even your own. Period.
2. Creativity - Some attorneys look at
the law as a very mechanical process. I look at the law
as a chess game with a nearly unlimited number of options of
which move to make, and I wield the law with a rare creativity
that is very powerful in the law.
3. Passion - I want to succeed in every
case like I have something to prove. I love dissecting
every case like a tactician, and hammering the other side's
weaknesses.
4. Ethics - I am of the highest ethical caliber.
My belief in doing what is right under the law will not yield,
and I believe this principle is fundamental to my success as
an attorney.

"A relationship in which one person is under a duty to act
for the benefit of the other on matters within the scope of the
relationship. Fiduciary relationships - such as
trustee-beneficiary, guardian-ward, agent-principle, and
attorney-client - require the highest duty of care.

CHAPTER 1: PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY IN GENERAL
Rule 1-100(A)
The following rules are intended to regulate professional conduct
of the State Bar through discipline. They have been adopted by the
Board of Governors of the State Bar of California and approved by
the Supreme Court of California pursuant to Business and
Professions Code sections 6076 and 6077 to protect the public and
to promote respect and confidence in the legal profession.

"The relationship between an attorney and client is a
fiduciary relationship of the very highest character and all
dealings between an attorney and client that are beneficial to the
attorney will be closely scrutinized with the utmost strictness
for unfairness. (See, e.g., Giovanazzi v.
State Bar (1980) 28 Cal.3d 465, 472 [169 Cal.Rptr. 581]; Benson
v. State Bar (1975) 13 Cal.3d 581,586 [119 Cal.Rptr. 297]; Lee
v. State Bar (1970) 2 Cal.3d 927, 939 [88 Cal.Rptr 361]; Clancy
v. State Bar (1969) 71 Cal.2d 140, 146 [77 Cal.Rptr. 657].)
Where attorneys exercise undue influence over clients or take
unfair advantage of clients, discipline is appropriate. (See,
e.g., Magee v. State Bar (1962) 58
Cal.2d 423 [24 Cal.Rptr. 839]; Lantz v.
State Bar (1931) 212 Cal. 213 [298 P. 497].) In all client
matters, a is advised to keep clients' interest paramount in the
course of the member's representation."
